I do not actually know the date on which Earl was awarded his doctorate. I have a vague recollection that it was actually off-cycle, not at the end of the school year, like that even matters for grad students.
I had the best of intentions about going in to the office today, but the early morning hours included operatic solos, gladiatorial combat, and going right back to sleep after the alarm. Apparently I should just give up on being employed and go live in a cardboard box behind the bus station. Actually, I think the bus station may be full.
I did do a bunch of work for the customer with the problem while I was at home, at least. I don’t think Sage was pleased about being dislodged from her position so I could type madly.
