This was a better week for Annabelle and her tongue. She had a fun dream adventure with Max and Secret and Isaac and lots of kids on the Space Train when ALIEN PIRATES boarded the train and they had to save the day by being sneaky and brave. I was sad I didn't get to help, but they did really good and Annabelle and Max told me all about it. Good job, everybody!
Ani-auncle called Annabelle to make sure she wasn't DECLINING from VAPORS and that made her happy too.
The Bear-grams started SPACE SCHOOL this week. They have to learn a lot before they can go on a spaceship to Mars, and they have to learn a lot when they're on the ship so they can LIVE on Mars. They're really smart so it will be OK, but we're all a LITTLE BIT worried. It's harder than learning powered armor and diving and fixing busses and baking! Do your best, Bear-grams!
Pretty soon we're going to the NORTHERN SHORES so we're starting to do checklists, but mostly it's the grownups that have to do that. Kid checklists are shorter.
I went for a really long walk in the forest with Hebichi and Spin and Spin's doggie Sonny and we didn't do anything special and we talked about stuff and fell in a COLD stream and met some other people with doggies who wanted to be friends with Sonny and it was REALLY NICE. It wasn't enough walking, though, so we did a SLEEPOVER at Spin's and dreamed about walking some more. We walked all the way from the stone circle where we learn Dancing Spider Glyphs to the end of the valley, and Sonny ALMOST caught a masquillion squirrels and we made flower crowns for each other but Sonny ATE hers and we waded in the COLD river and it was REALLY NICE. When we got to the end of the valley, there were a bunch of WOMBATS and a tunnel, but they weren't digging because they had to pet Sonny and give her treats. They weren't Wombat People, who look like humans except they have purple hair and wear ARMOR TROUSERS and are good friends with the Mole People, these were people wombats. We asked what the tunnel was for, but they wouldn't tell us! Spin thought it was because wombats like digging, but the tunnel they were making was HUGE, so I think it was for the INVISIBLE ANIMALS. We have to go back and sniff the tunnel and see where it goes when it's FINISHED.
On the way back, we saw a GIANT PORCUPINE. She was bigger than Number-dad! Her spines were clear and shiny like glass but they smelled like magic so I bet they could stick in even ultra-modern people. That would be really bad, because ultra-modern people aren't used to getting hurt! We left her alone and she left us alone even when Sonny barked really loud at her. I would be pretty brave if I had MAGIC SPINES too.
When we got back to the hill with the stone circle, it was dark and everybody was there so we learned more Dancing Spider Glyphs with Cally. This time we learned what stars MEAN. It's really complicated! And when we were doing really hard thinking, a whole BUNCH of giant porcupines came and sat on the sides of the hill and looked at us. Sonny got really scared and hid under Maa-uu, but the porcupines didn't do anything except look at us like we should keep going. When we were done, they all snuck away. Maybe porcupines like stars too. Cally said it was OK if they listen to glyph class.
One day after dinner I went out to the treehouse to sit and think about things, but Zora and Ai were doing SNOGS, so I made some WATER BALLOONS with the box Ai gave us and splooshed those teenagers so they SQUACKED. They squacked so much I felt a little bit bad, but they said they were sorry for being in the kids' treehouse and went somewhere else so I could sit and think.
Ai changed her colors again, so her skin is light green with darker green POINTS, and her hair is all kinds of orangey-pink, and she's REALLY PRETTY so that's why Zora wants to do snogs with her, but they can't do snogs in MY treehouse! Sahara and Simoun were proud of me for defending the treehouse.
Toka is being a REALLY GOOD big sibling to Theo and Cleo and Mlle. Floofypaws. They give them lots of food and water and treats and brush their fur every day and clean out their litter box and mop up whenever they barf and play with them and stop them from doing things they aren't supposed to, like jumping on the table and playing too ferocious with people's HANDS. When they KITTENNAPPED the kittens, I was worried that they were too young, but they aren't. Their dads and Hebichi still have to help some, but Toka is taking really good care of the kittens. I'm really glad.
In the Dreamlands, Toka's kittens like playing in the park with the Mushroom Sisters and Max and Annabelle and lots of kids, and napping in the sunshine, and visiting their old friends in the kitten café, and they're big, so Toka has to chase after them a lot and it's really CUTE.
Today is INTERPLANETARY CAT DAY. It used to be International Cat Day, but then there were cats in Antarctica and in the space cities, so it had to be World Cat Day, and now there are cats on MARS. HURRAY FOR CATS EVERYWHERE!
Interplanetary Cat Day was invented by humans who love housecats, so 3 Orange Socks and other cats don't care about it very much, but it makes me happy. I went over to Hebichi's and gave treats to the kittens and told them how it's their SPECIAL DAY. Toka thought that was really great and gave Theo and Cleo and Mlle. Floofypaws a lot of cuddles and told them how great they are and told their dads and told their friends who came to visit and was REALLY CUTE. That made me happy too.
We're going to the Northern Shores to visit PENGIES and MOOSIES soon, so we did lots of checklists today. We aren't going on a ship this time, so the checklists are different. I really liked going on DAPPER CAPYBARA, but Nelson-captain is EXPLORING now, so we have to take the train. The train is OK, but it goes underground so there isn't anything to look at. We spend all day talking and playing games and reading until we get there. It makes the sheepies really FIDGETY.
Some people worried about VV-gram going on a long trip away from hospitals when her kitten is almost READY, but she says her sister will be there and Tansy has helped lots of sheepies have lambs, and it's practically the same thing. I don't know if that's really how it works, but Shoe-auncle will be there too, and he's a VETERINARIAN. I hope it's really OK!
It's NORTHERN SHORES DAY! We did all the checklists and got all the people and put everything into a bunch of trucks and drove to the secret cave that goes to the trains station in the Dreamlands and now we're GOING! I'm really happy because Hebichi's family is coming with us again, and Spin and his dog Sonny are coming, and Jeanne's family is coming. Sahara and Simoun's friend Ouma is here, and Secret and her mom, and Cara and her mom, and Zora's friend Ai, and bunches of people we really like. It's going to be a really good vacation!
Going to visit the Northern Shores is a dream adventure even though we don't go to sleep to get there, so Toka's kittens were little in a cat carrier when we started, and then BIG when we were on the train! Toka knew that was going to happen, but they were still really SURPRISED and laughed and laughed until Theo had to sit on them and Mlle. Floofypaws had to wash their face. It was really cute.
First we have to be on the train all day, but we'll have lots of sheepies and everybody from the Sheep Place after the next stop, so it'll be a WARM and WOOLLY train ride. Then 2 stops after that, Shoe-auncle and Pierce and Nameko and Truffle will get on. This train is going to be full of FRIENDS.
We didn't just get cats at the stop near Dragon-mayor's city, we got a human and a DRAGON. Zsuzsy is almost a grownup so she can go to the Northern Shores without her parents and say nihao to the pengies and moosies and mastydons and everybody, and she had lot of vacation days saved up so Rathbrun-mayor got somebody else to take care of the petting zoo and she SURPRISED us! Bobtail Dragon is here too, because dragons can go wherever they want. People were a little worried because he's HUGE, but he squished along the side of the train car and cats and sheepies and kids and HEBICHIS perched all over him so he didn't look scary and didn't take up too much room, and then everybody wanted to be friends with him. He's going because Dragon-mayor wants him to do a DIPLOMACY. That's when whole cities or countries try to make deals, even if it's just to not fight. Only Emperor Penguin Max gets to hear the diplomacy until they agree, though.
In the Awake World, when you build a tunnel, it stays where it is unless there's an EARTHQUAKE, but the Dreamlands are really MYSTERIOUS, so even though this train tunnel was all underground last time we rode in it, this time it went under the OCEAN for a ways. The sides of the tunnel were clear so we could see all the fishes and coral reefs and octos and a HUGE animal like a shrimp as big as a bus with all different colors and really scary claws in front. I think it was a GIANT MANTIS SHRIMP. It would be really cool to have some in my zoo, but I don't think we can. They're too big!
We were only under the ocean for a little while, but there was lots to look at and talk about so the rest of the trip didn't feel too long. We were still really HAPPY when we got to the station and took all our trucks and friends and presents up to say nihao to the pengies and moosies and spidies and duckies and mastydons. They were happy to see us too and we had a big NIHAO PARTY. Passionate Pink Spider ran around giving everybody big hugs and Penguin Max and James gave a nihao speech about how much they like us and all the Northern Shores people thought Bobtail Dragon was REALLY GREAT and Boogie stole his littlest horn and wore it on her head like a UNIMOOSE and everybody laughed until we fell over!
Now we're camping in the PAVILIONS like last year and all our special friends are with us and I'm going to sleep in a big pile of LOVE.
I forgot to write every day because I'm so BUSY but I remembered today because it's SUNDAY and that's the day to write in my journal.
Every night it's DRIZZLY and then it's FOGGY all morning, so everything is MYSTERIOUS and SPOOKY and it's really cool to go SKATING on the paths with the pengies and zoom through the mist. We helped make a bunch more paths going all over and even out to the hills so there's even more zooming.
All the kid pengies really like Humboldt, because he's BLACK AND WHITE and he put on an orange bowtie to be more pengish and he's a really good BIG BROTHER. They all follow him and want him to play with them and read them stories and help them practice words and it's REALLY CUTE but I think it's frustrating for him too. He wants to do Exploration Club stuff and the kid pengies are too young for that.
Everybody likes Zsuzsy too. She's really good with animals, even animals that are people, so she made friends with all the pengies and moosies and sealies and turtlies and duckies and mastydons. She isn't friends with the spidies because she's SCARED of giant spiders. She thought it would be OK to see them, but it isn't. She's really POLITE, though, so she doesn't run away or scream, but the spidies can tell, so they don't hug her. It makes me sad because Lurking Lemon Spider and Jaunty Jonquil Spider are really nice, but I know lots of humans aren't good with bugs and it's not their fault. I hope she learns how nice they are.
Jean's big sister Audrey tried to protect Zsuzsy from the spidies because she's SWEET on her, but the spidies looked really SAD and then she didn't know what to do. Being sweet on somebody is when you think they're really pretty and cool and want them to be your SWEETHEART. Zsuzsy is almost a grownup, though, and Audrey is only in Teenagers I, so I don't think they're going to be sweethearts. The mermaids want Zsuzsy to be their snogging friend, but that makes her really EMBARRASSED and then Ai and Zora tease her and she sulks.
Everybody is friends with Bobtail Dragon too, because they think he's really cool and warm and nice. If he sits down too long, all the spidies come and sit on him and look really COZY. Then the moosies and pengies come and sit around him to talk to the spidies and there's a whole DRAGON PARTY. I think he did a good diplomacy with Penguin Max too. His best friend in Northern Shores is Boogie, though. After he got his horn back, they talked a lot and Boogie taught him cooler dances and now they're together all the time. It makes me really happy to see them.
The grownup mastydons are still shy about buildings and people and weird animals from far away, but the kid mastydons are friendlier and like tussling with Maa-uu and Bobtail Dragon and carrying Zsuzsy and Jean around and waving sticks and ropes for the new cats to chase. I was worried the new cats might be TOO ROUGH, because they aren't people, but their people in the Awake World have been teaching them to be nice, and Flower-gram and Number-dad used magic to keep them from getting too big for whoever they're playing with. Now Pierce and Truffle and Nameko and Cleo and Theo and Mlle. Floofypaws can play with the pengies and moosies and spidies and everybody and it's OK.
We did lots of skating and swimming and running and hoofball and climbed trees and teenagers did flirts and snogs with mermaids and grownups helped make the Penguin Palace nicer and we all helped make new skate paths and it's REALLY FUN. Even when it's hard work, I really like helping nice people.
I forgot to write all week because I was so busy having ADVENTURES. Hebichi and Jeanne and Dmitri and I went out in a boat with divers who were working on the turbines and went diving with them. Another time we went diving with VV-gram and saw a masquillion different kinds of fish and BRAIN coral and mermaids and big mermaids and SHARKS. VV-gram got a special cold-water suit because she doesn't FIT in her old one but she likes diving. It has special folds so it will still fit even when her tummy gets BIGGER. All the spidies and pengies think she's weird for having a kitten inside because they lay EGGS, but everybody thinks she's brave and will have a really GREAT kitten.
Dmitri and Jean and I went with Number-dad for a long walk toward the mountains and it was really nice with grass and sunshine and birds in the marsh that we went by, but then we found GIANT FOOTPRINTS. We thought all the giants stayed up in the mountains, so we ran back to let everybody know, but the giants were ALREADY THERE. It was OK, because after staying in the mountains for a long time, the giants got a new boss who wanted to do DIPLOMACIES with the Penguin Palace and mermaids and everybody, so they could trade mountain stuff for ocean stuff. I didn't know mountain giants liked SUSHI but they do! They aren't bigger than the mastydons, so even if they tried to do piracies like they used to, it wouldn't work. I think they really want to be friends, though. Maybe that's because I think everybody in the WORLD should be friends. Maybe it's OK that Penguin Max doesn't trust them yet.
Clover-auncle and Rose-auncle and Chibi-Moosa and Passionate Pink Spider went to see what's at the far end of the valley the mastydons came from. The very first time they went, 2 years ago, they saw something like a crystal city but it was too far to go, and they're always BUSY like with Rose-auncle getting her DOCTORATE since then, but now they want to go even though they won't be back in time to go home on the same train as us. That's OK because they're grownup explorers and know to be careful about elves and monsters and mysterious things, but the Exploration Club asked and asked and ASKED if they could go too. All their parents didn't want them to, so maybe only Explorobot was going to go, but Rose-auncle and Clover-auncle talked about it and decided they could take them to learn exploring like APPRENTICES. Then our parents and Nessie-auncle and Big Sam and Cara's mom and Trisa-auncle and Devi-auncle all said it was OK. And THEN Bobtail Dragon and Boogie said they wanted to go too, so there will be lots of grownups to help the Exploration Club. It's OK that Bobtail Dragon is going, because Shoe-auncle can take the diplomacy paperwork back to Dragon-mayor.
I wanted to go, but it's scary too, so when my parents said only Dmitri and Humboldt could go even though Simoun and Sahara wanted to go too, I wasn't upset. Maybe I was upset and RELIEVED at the same time. Simoun and Sahara and Max were just upset, but they sulked on the beach and talked to Pentameter until they felt better. Pentameter is the whale mermaid I met last year. She has a degree in Electrical Engineering but maybe she's working on COUNSELING too.
When Humboldt was busy packing, Zsuzsy put on a black and white sweater and borrowed his bow tie and then all the baby pengies wanted to be friends with her. She's really tall, but she goes up and down like a penguin so maybe she's even more mom-shaped. Audrey got a white and yellow shirt and black shorts and helped her, so it was even CUTER. I'm glad everybody loves the baby pengies.
Zsuzsy is USED to the spidies now. She doesn't want to hug them, but she helps the baby pengies and baby moosies play with them, and she played Spider Poker with them and won a bunch of pine cone monsters even though they use really WEIRD cards. Now they respect her!
Secret DISAPPEARED and everybody was worried, but then the baby pengies found her in the warm maze. She said she went in there to listen to the spidies sing and fell asleep, but the spidies don't talk with singing, they talk with dancing. Secret is a MYSTERIOUS kid. I think when she grows up, she'll move to the Dreamlands, just like Fairy-mom moved to the Awake World.
Max found her rainbow tailwarmer and we were RAINBOW TAIL BUDDIES. Everybody thought we were really cute and took lots of pictures of us. Pengies are good at working cameras even though they only have beaks. It's really cool. But maybe someday they'll let the pocket foxies make helpobots for them, and then they'll be UNSTOPPABLE.
I want to write everything we did this week because it was all exciting, but that would take a whole week so instead I'm going to stop and get some icy water to drink and snuggle up with Hebichi and Jeanne and some baby moosies and SLEEP.
Now we're back at home, except Humboldt and Dmitri and Dragon-mom and Pixie and Rei and Cara and Clover-auncle and Rose-auncle and Flower-gram. Dragon-mom stayed in Northern Shores to wait for the Exploration Club to get back. Maybe they played rock-paper-scissors for it. I'm not sure how grownups make decisions.
I think Max found out how Dragon-mom got mad when Number-dad and Fairy-mom brought her home, and she got worried that Dragon-mom was staying in Northern Shores because she doesn't LOVE her. They had to do a MASQUILLION cuddles after that, because Dragon-mom loves Max a whole bunch and doesn't ever want her to feel unloved. We ALL love you, Max!
Flower-gram had to go help MONSTER HUNTERS as soon as we got back. They found a monster who fades away like a SHADOW so they need more magic to catch it. Be careful, Flower-gram!
Coming home was easier than going because we didn't have as many people. We had a lot of sheepies, though. Everybody was sad to leave their friends, but happy to be going back home. The hardest part was when we wanted to get off at our stop but Theo and Cleo and Mlle. Floofypaws got LITTLE again and hid in the dirty laundry and we had to find them and put them back in their CARRIERS before the train wanted to leave. They're really good at hiding!
I remembered some things I didn't write about before. When I was playing and having adventures, the grownups were working hard to set up TELEPHONES for the Northern Shores. They couldn't do it last year because the generators were new, but now that there's lots of electricity, it's time for PHONES. It's the Dreamlands so they're OLD-FASHIONED phones with wires all over, but we can call Dragon-mom every day to make sure she's OK.
Jean was a little bit scared of the spidies, but then he made a HUGE MISTAKE by walking under a tree without checking, and Lurking Lemon Spider ambushed him with a MASQUILLION TICKLES and he squacked so loud Jaunty Jonquil Spider and Grant and fell over and couldn't walk. After that, he and Dmitri did a bunch of ambushes on spidies to tickle them, and he wasn't scared any more.
Jean wanted to go exploring with Dmitri, but his parents said NO WAY so he was really sad and sat on the beach, but Nico got some mermaids in Teenagers I to go and FLIRT with him so he got really embarrassed but then he stuck his tongue out at Nico and flirted BACK and did some kisses with the mermaids even though he's the same age as me. I don't know if that's OK. Even Sahara and Simoun didn't do any kisses with the mermaids. Maybe Jean is going to be a teenager with snogs really EARLY like Pixie did.
That wasn't a very good sentence. I need to practice writing with PUNCTUATION.
Nessie-auncle took everybody to see the regular wolves and the dire wolves, but not all at once because that would be TOO MANY. When I went, I played with the CUBS and made sure to be nice so they'll think songcats are for being FRIENDS with and not for fighting. I don't know if they're wolfies, because they live outside and aren't people and they hunt and fight each other, but they don't hunt the pengies or moosies or duckies or sealies or turtlies. They really like Nessie-auncle, but that's because being friends with wild animals is her SPECIAL TECHNIQUE. They were nice to us, though, even Pierce and the Mushroom Sisters and Toka's kittens. Cara says that's because they want Nessie-auncle to stay and be part of their PACK.
The giants stayed really polite the whole time we were there, even after Bobtail Dragon and Maa-uu left, and they showed us their GIANT DANCES, which are like JIGS except they go THOOM THOOM. Hebichi and I fiddled for them some, and they liked it, so we were proud. Maybe our fiddling is like DIPLOMACY.
I really like everybody at the Northen Shores and I miss them, but I'm glad to be back in my own closet hugging all my plush creatures. Pretty soon we're going to have Thailand food from the Elephant's Ear and eat it on our own TABLE.
The house says the food robot is ALMOST here, but I remembered 1 more thing. I took the plush mastydon Spin gave me for my birthday on the trip with me, and when I showed it to the baby mastydons, they thought it was REALLY GREAT and all wanted to cuddle it. I made sure they knew not to break it and then I let them keep it while I was there, because it made them really HAPPY and I had a LITTLE DRAGON to cuddle. Then they gave it back when I was going home and said his name is CATTAIL now and he has all their love for me. That made ME really happy and I cried on them because they were so nice. They petted me with their trunks and made me promise to take good care of him, and I AM. Cattail can sleep with me every night.
I have to stop writing or Sahara will eat all the pad Thai!
We had to go back to SCHOOL. I like school, but it's hard after being on vacation and doing nothing but playing for weeks and weeks. I think it was hard for Zeb-teacher and Bob-teacher and the other pocket foxies too, because we didn't do as many modules as some weeks.
Rei's camera that takes Dreamlands pictures is really OLD-FASHIONED so it can't store pictures and has to print them out right away before taking more. They let us bring the printed pictures home to store and make copies for all of us, so I could show them to Spin and Blond Dmitry when I told them about our vacation. They were really ENVIOUS that we got to go and see all the different kinds of people and ocean stuff and play with spidies and the Exploration Club got to go on a real exploration. That's what Number-dad calls being GREEN inside. We weren't proud about getting to go instead of them, though, because we missed them when we were away, and wished they could go with us. Maybe next year they can come.
Blond Dmitry said he wants to spend the next year learning a special technique to turn himself into a PLUSH MASTODON so he can sneak into my bag and go get snuggled by all the BABY MASTYDONS. I don't think he can really do that, but I put "Plush Mastodon That's Really Blond Dmitri (if avail)" on my checklist for next year. If he can do it, it will be REALLY AMAZING.
Spin teased Jeanne a lot about the mermaid flirting even though we didn't have pictures because that was after Rei left. Now I'm worried that Spin wants to go so he can do flirts and kisses with mermaids. I think lots of my friends are growing up to be like TEENAGERS and I don't like it. Maybe they won't be my friends any more because they'll think I'm a LITTLE KID. It's not fair that songcats grow up really SLOW. I hugged Spin and Hebichi and Blond Dmitry and Jeanne a lot, but I didn't tell them why I felt bad because I don't want them to feel bad about GROWING UP.
I really missed my friends who couldn't come with us. I wish everybody could do everything together, but there isn't enough TIME. Being alive is COMPLICATED.
Now I miss Dragon-mom. She calls every night on the new telephones to tell us she's OK and how she helped with music for giants and mastydons to dance to and went diving to hunt fish and got tickled by spidies, but I can't hug her. The explorers are supposed to be back at the Penguin Palace tomorrow, so maybe she'll be here the day after that.
I miss Flower-gram too. She calls every night on regular phones to let us know she's OK, but she can't say much about what she's doing, because cultists who help monsters might be EAVESDROPPING. Nobody said it, but I realized that if monster hunters need even more help, the next people to go will be Nessie-auncle and Big Sam. If they get killed, then Rei and Nico and Zora will be ORPHANS and Rei won't even know because they're in the Dreamlands. That's why Nico and Zora need so many hugs. It makes me feel really bad inside to think about it. Maybe I have the VAPORS. I'm keeping all of my fingers crossed that the monster hunters don't need any more help. You can do it, monster hunters!
Purpleberry Ice Cream Adult Soccer misses Dragon-mom and Flower-gram too. All us kitten cheered for them at their games, but it was really hard for them to win with 2 people missing. Everybody else had to play longer and get really TIRED. They got lots of ice cream.
VV-gram went to the special doctor for having a kitten, and they say it's only 1 or 2 WEEKS until the new kitten comes out! We're all really nice to VV-gram and PAMPER her so she can put all her energy into helping the kitten GROW. Do your best, new kitten!
I hug Cattail to sleep every night. He's really soft in the Awake World, but he hasn't showed up in the Dreamlands yet. I hope he's OK.
We waited all day for Dragon-mom to call and tell us the explorers got back OK, but she didn't call until AFTER DINNER, when it was really dark at the Northern Shores and they still weren't there. Now we're all really WORRIED. Probably they're OK because Rose-auncle and Clover-auncle are PROFESSIONALS and they have a DRAGON with them, but the Dreamlands have elves and fairies and vampires and all kinds of scary things. We said Fairy-mom and Number-dad should go back to the Northern Shores to look for the explorers, but they said Dragon-mom can do that and anyway it's only 1 day late. I think they're worried too but don't to make us UPSET. Come back soon, explorers!
Flower-gram is OK. She's working hard to catch the monster that fades away. I think she's almost done, but she can't say that or the monster might find out and GET AWAY. She said we shouldn't worry about the explorers being 1 day late because Number-dad was lots more WORRISOME when he was a kitten, and he's OK. Number-dad got embarrassed because he never wanted to make his moms worry, but it made us all feel better so we gave him a masquillion kisses for Flower-gram. It will all be OK!
I keep Cattail next to me when I write in my journal. I can feel all the BABY MASTYDON LOVE and it helps me write.
I had a really scary dream about mean elves trying to STEAL my brothers, but it was an imaginary dream, and Cattail ran in and STOMPED on the elves so they went POP like bubbles. Cattail is my hero!
Dragon-mom still hasn't seen the explorers so now we're getting REALLY worried. Tomorrow Dragon-mom is going to see if any duckies will fly over to the west and look for them. Come back soon, explorers!
Flower-gram's call was really EXCITING because today the monster came right into the monster hunters' SECRET BASE and tried to eat them! But Flower-gram CLOBBERED it right in the CONCEIT and it couldn't FADE so the other hunters stuck it in place with SPELLS and then they could take it apart. But while they were doing that, all the CULTISTS came and tried to blow up the building they were in with BOMBS. It was really bad! The other hunters had to fight the cultists while Flower-gram finished taking the monster apart, and one of them got BLOWN UP. She didn't get killed, because she had armor on, but she got hurt and had to come back to Starfall right away. The monster is all gone, though, so as soon as Flower-gram and the other hunters finish telling people how to keep the monster from coming back, they can come home too. Good job, monster hunters! Get better soon, Ting!
I didn't do very good in school because I was so WORRIED about the explorers. It was hard to think about lessons! I didn't sing very good in choir either. I made a lot of FLAT notes and it was really embarrassing when people said a songcat should be better at singing. I went home to get my fiddle for orchestra and then everything was OK because Number-dad said Dragon-mom called and the duckies saw some explorers coming BACK through the valley and they'll get to Penguin Palace TOMORROW. I was so RELIEVED I fell over, but I had to get up and run to FIDDLE. I did lots better because I wasn't worrying! Come home soon, explorers!
I had a WEIRD dream. I couldn't tell if it was imaginary or a dream adaventure! VV-gram and I went to a shopping mall, but VV-gram's tummy wasn't round, because she had a stroller with an AQUARIUM. It was all full of sparkly white liquid, so I couldn't see the new kitten, but there were WAVES so I knew they were in there. Monster-gram was there too, because he needed to go to the TOOTH STORE for a new tooth. I didn't think a tooth store would be very interesting, but it was really big and had all different kinds of cool teeth. There were even saber teeth, so I bought some for Bina so they can be more like Sabertooth Fox. I think VV-gram bought some teeth while I was doing that, but she was SNEAKY. Maybe they're special teeth for the new kitten.
Monster-gram pretended to eat our BRAINS with his new tooth, but really he just nommed our EARS. That made him hungry, though, so we went to the food court. VV-gram's ears are the YUMMIEST. He got VEGGIE BRAINS, which is steamed cauliflower turned upside down with melted cheese poured into the holes, and VV-gram got salad pizza and I got spicy snails. It was scary when big BUG ARMS came down to give us our food! The whole ceiling of the food court was a giant WAITER BUG but it was really nice and gave us our food right away and took away the empty dishes.
Number-dad and Ruffur were really surprised to see us when they came out of the IDEA STORE with bags full of ideas, but they ran over and hugged us and got some avocado sausages and crisp fried ice cream. It was really good to see them, but I felt really DUMB because I spent all my money before we got to the idea store. I sulked and ate my spicy snails while Number-dad and Ruffur sorted out the idea bottles, because I want to be smart but I wasn't. Then Ruffur slurped my nose and said, "You have lots of ideas" and VV-gram said, "Giving a present to your friend is an idea, and a very Samuelish one" and I got a little embarrassed but I felt better. Ruffur was nice, so I felt a little bad about doing a piracy when they looked at the bug arms, but maybe I'll need more ideas. Then they got down to the last 2 bottles, a little blue bottle that everybody said was for Max, and a spirally pink bottle. Number-dad said, "This seem like idea of kiss and love, so it for Samuel". I didn't feel bad any more because he was TEASING ME, but I took the bottle. Now I have 2 ideas for when I need them.
We all put some of the juice from our food and drops of our soda into the kitten aquarium and it made the liquid get swirls of all different colors that weren't the same as the food, and there were lots of waves until VV-gram sang to them. It's important for babies to say nihao to lots of different foods so they aren't PICKY EATERS after they're born.
I want to go back to that mall when I have more money so I can buy lots of ideas and star-flavored milkshakes and maybe some magic biting teeth and see what other stores are there. I think they had a SPACESHIP store!
When we finished magic singing class and went home, we found out the explorers all made it back to the Penguin Palace! Clover said they ran out of supplies and had to eat Explorobot and the penguins started to get worried but then they remembered that robots aren't good to eat, and Explorobot waved from Maa-uu's pack and all the penguins PECKED Clover. Explorobot had to ride back because some of their legs got crunched by falling rocks, but when they get to the Meerbot Clinic in Dragon-mayor's city, they'll get fixed up. I'm glad they're not really hurt! Today the explorers are going to rest and tomorrow they're going to tell Penguin Max and everybody else about their expedition, and the day after THAT they'll come home. I really miss you, explorers!
