I was right about June being a BUSY month. It was so busy I didn't remember to write until it's JULY! I might not remember everything but I'll try to write about everything I did in June.
Before the solstice, we had a week of WRAPPING UP. We all had to finish all the classes we're taking, so we can go on VACATION. The only class I had to finish is BAKING because choir and orchestra and volleyball will keep going. I might take more baking classes later because I really like it, but I'm already pretty good. I made croissants with GOAT CHEESE inside and they were really yummy!
I had more dreams about the Mushroom Sisters. They like to explore the city and play tussles and eat sushi and tell us about their human mom and all their human friends and the other humans that visit but aren't as nice. It sounds like they have a good awake life. That makes me really happy. In the Dreamlands, they say they have a MUSHROOM MOM that's Rei's HAT and they try to take a nap on it every time Rei takes it off. It's really cute. They like the Oddball that Cara got for them too. That's a ball that looks round but bounces really CRAZY so it's hard to catch. Nameko and Truffle and Max and Annabelle and sometimes Pierce and sometimes SAMUEL like to chase it when somebody throws it, but when Nameko or Truffle gets it, they run away with it and everybody has to chase them and tussle them to get it back to throw again. I really like kittens. Maybe that's weird to say because I'm a kitten.
The Mushroom Sisters got old enough that they don't have to stay in their room all night, so they can go all over their house whenever they want, and sleep on their human mom and play with toys and tussle with Pierce. It made them really happy. I'm glad they're growing up, but I still had to snorfle Truffle's tummy a whole bunch.
Housecats grow up really FAST. Truffle and Nameko will be grownup cats by next year. That's a little bit sad, but a little bit happy too. They aren't grown up yet, though, and Truffle ate something that was BAD for her and had to go to the "scary stinky place". That's the VET. I don't know what she ate, but the vet said she was OK and didn't have to do any OPERATIONS, and Truffle said she was OK. Animals who aren't people don't like talking about feeling sick or hurt, but Nameko said Truffle only threw up 1 more time and then ate all her food to grow up big and strong, so I hope that was right.
I went on an EXPLORATION with the Exploration Club and Pierce. We went into a forest with a RUINED CASTLE and a masquillion SPIDERWEBS and it was really SPOOKY. It was like the forest in MEGALOMACHY where the Vampire Witch lives, but without any minotaurs. We didn't find any monsters, but Pierce found a GIANT BUG SHELL and we said that was treasure and carried it back to put in the clubhouse. We drew some good maps, and got covered with COBWEBS. Pixie and Rei were really sad we didn't find any Vampire Witches, but the rest of us were glad. It was a fun exploration, and it was fun to get back and swim in the pool.
The Mushroom Sisters didn't go with Pierce because when it was time to go, they were snuggled up with Bobtail Dragon and purring really LOUD so Max and Annabelle and lots of other kittens and kids were using them for PILLOWS. Simoun didn't go because she was busy with MEERBOT CLINIC and Sahara was helping keep the meerbots from getting ROWDY. They all came swimming with us, and Nameko and Truffle splashed really WILD and it was a really fun dream.
Simoun is really FRAZZLED from trying to be a mom to the meerbots so Fairy-mom said she can only do meerbot clinic 3 times every week, and let the pocket foxies do the rest. That makes her feel like she's no good. I got some books about robots so I can try to learn to help her, but they're really COMPLICATED and I don't think the way we make robots in Starfall is how meerbots work. All I can do is hug Simoun a masquillion times.
Lots of monster hunters are in different cities hunting monsters. Nobody in my family is going right now, but if there are more monsters, Flower-gram might have to go. VV-gram can't go because of the kitten. Nessie-auncle and Big Sam won't go unless there isn't anybody else to go. I hope there aren't that many monsters.
We went to Cat Day at the BEACH. It was near where we do things, so lots of cats we know were there. 3 Orange Socks was there, so maybe that's why VV-gram decided we should go to that Cat Day. She did a lot of SNUGGLES with Socks and he was really happy she's doing such a good job of growing their kitten inside her body. Lots of cats are happy about that, because they like kittens. We all played in the sand and swam in the ocean and sang cat songs and Socks settled ARGUMENTS and got cats to help other cats with problems. Sometimes he had to get Number-dad or Dragon-mom to help with magic, and Shoe-auncle to help with medicine, and Tansy-gram to help with farming, and Fairy-mom to help with CHECKLISTS. Lots of other cats helped with all different stuff, and that's why 3 Orange Socks has the BIGGEST HAT. I was worried some cats might have problems that were MONSTERS, because there are monsters in the Awake World, but there weren't. I was really glad!
When I TRADED IN my kitten tail, I thought maybe it would get used for a new songkitten to START OFF with a rainbow tail, but I haven't met any. This time, I heard a kitten was born with a rainbow tail by the mountains where the cloud giants live! I don't know if it's true, but the Exploration Club is going to help me go find out. For SCIENCE!
It's the Mushroom Sisters' 1st Cat Day! They thought it was REALLY GREAT and ran around tussling with other kittens and trying to eat the tails of big cats and sang with everybody and took a nap on each other when they got tired. Pierce took them to say nihao to other PIRATE CATS, and those cats all said Nameko and Truffle would be really good pirates. I'm glad they made friends.
I felt kind of SHY so I sat under an umbrella and didn't talk to very many cats, but then I saw some kittens having trouble SWIMMING because the ocean is WILD water and they weren't BRAVE enough. I had to run to help them because when I was younger and went to the beach for the 1st time, I had trouble with the wild water. I showed Pacman and Neptune and Tank and Bug Queen and Tiny Fluff how to swim without the water going in their nose, but they want to practice more in TAME water. I think that's a good idea.
It was a really nice Cat Day and I'm glad I went even though I was shy and Dmitri got in a fight and Max got sunburned and the pirate cats tried to STEAL VV-gram. I got to see lots of friend cats and soak up some sunshine and eat barbecued fish, and Annabelle was REALLY happy to see Ani-auncle and Runner-auncle so that made me happy too.
We went to Tansy-gram's Sheep Place for 2 different birthday parties. The 18th is Heather-auncle's birthday so she's EVEN MORE grown up! I think she's 36. Heather-auncle is REALLY GREAT because she's a lawyer who gets people to make rules about how nobody can be mean to animals. Farm animals still get killed for people to eat, but they get to have good lives before that. She makes sure people can't bother the tigeries of Tiger Help Tiger and the coyoties of Urchin Beach too. She helps a lot of animals!
We brought Heather-auncle's friends Udo-auncle and Lu Wi-auncle and Mally-auncle and Wei Fu-auncle from Starfall with us, and her friends Berenice and Ludmilla and all the tigeries and coyoties came too, and then Reido the ocean dragon and his dad Hakedoga came out of the river and Anka the big duckie came down from the sky and the UNDERHIDERS peeked out from under a rock. It was a really big party! There were barbecue vegetables for herbivores and barbecue fish for carnivores and sherbet and cakes and hugs for everybody, and the sheepies played some music on their zoingaphone and everybody danced. It was a really nice party because we all love Heather-auncle BUNCHES.
Reido used to be Heather-auncle's really good friend, because when she was a LAMBIE he was as grown-up as her and they played together a lot, but ocean dragons grow up even slower than songcats so she's a grownup and he's still a kid. But they love each other a whole bunch and he comes to her birthday and sometimes visits her other times. Reido's dad is the HEADMASTER of the ocean school where Reido goes and where the OCTOS went when they were kids. He's really big and his horns are like CORAL and he's scary when you say nihao but he loves Reido so much everybody has to think he's nice. Reido has a mom and a little sister, but they were busy at school so they couldn't come this time.
We all gave Heather-auncle presents, but the best present was from RUFFUR, because he invented a new kind of pen that draws in all different colors and gave Heather-auncle the very first one.
After the party, we had a dream with Heather-auncle about a capybara dreaming she was REALLY BIG and going on a RAMPAGE. Capybaras aren't good rampagers, though, so she got in the way of some cars and pulled the roof off 1 bakery to eat up all the BAGELS and then Heather-auncle calmed her down and she went to the park to DIGEST and forgot to be big. Some people were mad and said the capybara should go to jail, but it's hard to be mad at a capybara who just wanted bagels. Even Super Monkey just SCOLDED her. She was really sorry! Even Heather-auncle thought it was a good dream because she likes capybaras too and nobody got hurt and there were some bagels left over for her.
After that we went to the beach and the ocean dragons were there and Heather's hippo friend Bloomer was there with his whole family and Secret was there with Blossom and we did a lot of swimming and hippo-hugging. Heather-auncle doesn't need Bloomer to protect her in the Dreamlands any more because she's a grownup, but they're still really good friends. The hippos liked the capybara who rampaged, and promised to teach her SPECIAL RAMPAGING TECHNIQUES, which made everybody worry. I think it will be OK, though, because she's nice and not scary. It was a good birthday dream because everybody likes capybaras!
Shoe-auncle's birthday is the 30th, so in between we had to go back home for the grownup wizards to do magic on the SOLSTICE. This time Humboldt got to help, but he wouldn't tell us what he did, because it's SECRET. All the littler kittens and Fairy-mom and Lilja-auncle and Big Sam and Rei did BIRTHDAY PARTIES instead, because lots of people have their birthday on the summer solstice, and 1 of those people is HEBICHI! Hebichi is 10! They didn't have a big party, but we played in their back yard with water guns and water balloons and there were enough kids to give Hebichi a MASQUILLION hugs. I gave them a toy dragon that really flies because they're LITTLE DRAGON, and a candle for their dream-protecting pumpking Jackie that smells really FANCY, and a MASQUILLION KISSES. I had to give Toka kisses too, because they say I'm still their SWEETHEART and everybody laughed, but that's OK. Then we went to the pool because Gobi was having a big party with lots of kids and SUSHI and that was really fun too. Gobi is 10 too, and when somebody asked how she got to be that old, she said, "1 SECOND AT A TIME" and laughed and laughed. Gobi is kind of weird but she's nice. She really likes cats, so I gave her a little plush green kitten for a present and she named him Cacto. Maybe he'll protect her DREAMS.
Shoe-auncle had a big party too, but instead of a pool, he had an OCEAN. His party was on the beach by where the coyoties live, so the octos and all the ocean dragons and Vinnie-auncle and Molly-gram could be there. All the sheepies and tigeries and everybody from the Sheep Place was there too, and all our family including Ani-auncle and Runner-auncle, and lots of our friends, and Heather was there too so the ocean people could say happy birthday, and it was a huge party! We played beach volleyball and swam and said how great Shoe-auncle is and how great his MOM and DAD are for helping him grow up and tussled with tigeries and coyoties and Hebichi and Ouma and I built a sand castle and the underhiders dug a DUNGEON for it and we danced and ate lots of really good food. I don't know if anything special happened, but it was really fun and nice and I got to play with Reido's little sister Isoari, who's really cute and wiggly and can't fly very high and likes pretending games and curls up around all the sheepies she can. We took lots of pictures, and my 2nd favorite is Shoe-auncle with Number-dad and Clover-auncle next to him so they all look big and orange and really COOL, but my favorite is family and friends and sheepies and everybody squished in around Shoe-auncle so you can barely see him through all the LOVE.
Shoe-auncle had another party in the Dreamlands, because all the dragons like him lots, so there was a party at the new Dragon Clinic and everybody DANCED UP A STORM. Even Elevator Alligator and the clothes cats and the model kittens were there. It's a little bit scary when dragons dance because they're so big that if they dance on you, you'll be FLAT, but they're really careful and dancing makes them really HAPPY so it makes me happy too! We had lots of ice cream and lots of cats were nice to Shoe-auncle because he's really great and meerbots played dance music and it was a really fun party. Even 3 Orange Socks was there to dance with Shoe-auncle! Bruno and Beezer and all their kids came too, and Morphana-artist, and a bunch of different wild animals Shoe-auncle helped, and the party got so big we had to move to the BEACH and lots of kids from the ocean school came, and it was a HUGE PARTY because so many people love Shoe-auncle! It got so big and loud I had to hide in a little cave with Isambard and some of the sheepies, but we made expeditions to get PARTY TREATS and I was really happy because Shoe-auncle was DIZZY with HAPPINESS. When we woke up, everybody was really happy and we gave Shoe-auncle a masquillion hugs and kisses.
Now it's July, which is a good month because it has World Improvement Day and Max's birthday, but a bad month because it's really HOT and Big Sam's mom and dad are flying away to MARS. It has lots of sports too. I'm still playing volleyball for Purpleberry Ice Cream Kids and so is Hebichi, and we cheer for all our family people who play soccer and lacrosse and softball and everything. I like waving the pompoms around and yelling, but it's FRUSTRATING when my team loses anyway.
My new class is FARMING. We have some land behind the swimming pool and the earlier class planted some SPRING VEGETABLES, and now we're planting SUMMER veggies and flowers, and making sure the plants have lots of water and fertilizer and getting rid of all the weeds and helping beans and peas climb up on things and it's really fun!
It wasn't too hot this week and there was some rain, so we didn't go swimming very much. We camped out in the treehouse under a tarp and listened to the rain at night and it was really nice. The rain was good for the farm and for Number-dad's flowers. I'm helping him take care of the flowers because I like farming so much. I like Number-dad too. He's big and strong but he grows flowers and draws pictures and gives kittens really GENTLE hugs. He's a really good dad.
I thought the Bear-grams weren't flying into space until the end of the month, but somebody had to cancel so they moved up to TOMORROW. Having more time to practice living without GRAVITY is good, but we had to have a GOING-AWAY PARTY really fast with all their kids and grandkids and friends and give them enough hugs to last for all the years until we can VISIT them on Mars. We were all excited for them doing something new, but sad because we'll miss them a whole bunch, so it wasn't a really happy party.
Good luck with your MARS ADVENTURE, Bear-grams!
Spin and Hebichi and Jeanne and Blond Dmitry and I went on some more EXPEDITIONS with the Exploration Club. Maybe we can be JUNIOR MEMBERS because we're getting really good at exploring even if people don't want us to go by ourselves because we might get stolen by FAIRIES. We helped explore the rest of the valley where we learn about dancing spider glyphs, but we still didn't see any of the giant animals. They ate the pumpkins I left out for them, but they only pooped on the sign that said they could come live at my zoo. Maybe they don't know how to read.
We explored the mushroom forest and the spiderweb forest too. Blond Dmitry is getting good at making maps. I think we're good enough that we should get to help explore the new valley when we visit the Northern Shores next month. I don't know if Humboldt and Maa-uu think so.
I did really good at volleyball this week and helped our team win 2 games! I got bonked in the FACE a lot too, but everybody on my team knows not to worry if I get a nosebleed. Maybe the other teams don't know so they get worried and don't play as well. I have complicated feelings about that, but I didn't say our wins weren't fair. Everybody was really nice to me, so I said we should get them ice cream with TOPPINGS and we DID. I don't feel bad about that!
When I went over to Hebichi's house after classes to play, they were resting on their porch in a sunbeam and it made their scales SHINE and they looked really BEAUTIFUL. I had to sneak up on them and put a MASQUILLION kisses on their shoulders so they laughed and laughed. Then we snuggled up together and watched new episodes of MEGALOMACHY until Toka came and yelled that my rainbow tail was TOO PRETTY in the sunshine and Hebichi had to go inside to eat dinner and I had to run home to eat MARS CHILI that Sahara made. I really liked that afternoon.
The Dragon Clinic is open now and Shoe-auncle gave all the dragons who visited CHECKUPS. They're all doing really good and now he knows more about dragons. Polkadot Dragon and Checkerboard Dragon went back to where dragons come from to get more to come visit the city and get checkups. It's a long ways so I'm going to MISS them, but maybe we'll get new dragon friends when they come back. That will be really nice.
I'm really sleepy so I can't remember what else happened this week. Maybe I'll remember more later. Right now I'm going to BED because I promised I wouldn't stay up too late writing.
I forgot to write about World Improvement Day! I was really sleepy!
It was a good World Improvement Day. We had Chawky Tiger and Tumbles Tiger and Ghostly Tiger and Spicy Bites Tiger and Soft Tummy Tiger in the Tiger Help Tiger tent, and Hebichi and I helped them out by running errands and talking to people and bringing HUGE PILES of BBQ. I was worried about Ghostly Tiger because she was NERVOUS about all the standing-up people, but she was really good and didn't bite anybody or run away or make Tiger Help Tiger look bad. Good job, Ghostly Tiger! I gave her extra BBQ salmon and lots of cuddles.
This year I tried giving little bits of money to a whole bunch of different social responsibility groups, because I want the WHOLE WORLD to be better. It made me feel happy because I got to do lots of GIVING, but I don't know if it was the best way to help the world. Dmitri gave all his money to Unstoppable Doctors because Jeanne was helping at that tent, but I think they really help a lot of people. Deciding how to be a good person is really complicated!
The fireworks were really pretty this year. I think VV-gram and Number-dad helped design them because there were lots of flower shapes and blue zooming and castles. We sat with the Bear-grams in their special spot on the hill and it was sad because maybe it was the last time they'll ever watch fireworks from there. Now it's Big Sam and Betsy and Nathan's spot. I tried to not cry, but it was really hard.
Today the Bear-grams flew into SPACE. We all went to the spaceport to say goodbye. Lots of people who worked with them or knew them for a long time were there too. They looked really brave and cool in their SPACESUITS, so we could all be brave about them leaving. Then the shuttle went RAAAAR up into the sky until it was high enough to turn on the fusion rocket, and then it was a ZIP of purple and that was really cool. Someday I want to fly into space to visit the Bear-grams and see the Moon and Mars and everyplace. Maybe when I'm grown up, we can fly to other STARS, if Max doesn't eat them all first!
Big Sam was really BRAVE for his parents and his siblings and niblings, but after we went home he was sad and we all had to pile on him and give him HUGS. Nessie and Zora and Nico and Rei were pretty sad too. But in the middle of the night I woke up and snuck into the living room and Big Sam was talking to his mom and dad because they just went into space, they aren't DEAD. They get to stay in a really big SPACE CITY for a little while until the Mars classes are ready for them, and it looks really cool because it's like our city with parks and stuff but it goes ALL THE WAY AROUND. I really want to go there!
All of the kittens had a dream on the Space Train with Isaac Mewton and no gravity and telescopes and a big sign that we could only read because we learned DANCING SPIDER GLYPHS from Cally. The sign said it was 1 YEAR TO MARS! We don't know if we can get from Dreamlands Mars to Awake Mars, but it's still really EXCITING, especially for Sahara and Simoun who have wanted to go to Mars since they were little. Isaac thinks it's cool too, because he's been on the Space Train for his WHOLE LIFE and never on a planet, even a little one like Mars.
3 cheers for Mars!
We told everybody from the Cousin House right after school and they were all excited too because they all know magic dreaming too. Then we told lots of friends, and they were all excited to do Space Train dreams and Mars dreams. VV-gram was grouchy, though, because no gravity isn't good for kittens who are inside somebody's BODY. I think she might be at the part where growing a kitten inside her seems really INCONVENIENT. Just a couple more months and then the kitten will be on the OUTSIDE!
Max and Nameko had a BIG FIGHT. Max has a frisbee that looks like a BUTTERFLY when it spins and she thinks it's really cool, but Nameko thought it was really cool too and when they were playing catch, she did a PIRACY and tried to carry the frisbee away and hide it like BOOTY. That made Max really MAD and she cussed at Nameko and jumped on her and tried to bite her paws off and Nameko tried to kick her intestines out and it was really bad! Truffle and I got between them and tried to make them stop fighting but they were TOO FEROCIOUS and I had to yell for Clover and Pierce to come and sit on them. Then we all tried to get them to make friends again, but they WOULDN'T because they were so mad! I felt really bad for them because I know they really love each other and are nice kittens, but I don't know how to help them be happy together again. Even Rose-gram doesn't know, even though Clover-auncle was really fighty when she was younger. I hope they forget about being mad.
The Bear-grams started space classes and Mars classes so they can't call us as much, but Big Sam and everybody are happy they got to talk to them after they went into space. Rose-auncle is really happy because she wasn't here when they flew away and was afraid she might not ever get to talk to them again.
Maybe knowing the Bear-grams are in space is what made us have lots of Space Train dreams. Even the grownups came to the Space Train, and sometimes we went to the cars that SPIN to have pretend gravity to play games with the aliens. Lots of people teased Spin about his name, but he had Mazurkasaurus Regina make scary faces at them. She didn't really bite them, though, because she's a nice dino. Isaac Mewton has to go to the spinning cars every day so his BONES and MUSCLES stay strong, so he was glad to have more kittens to play with. He's good at ball games because he knows how the ball is going to go SIDEWAYS in the spinning!
I want to have more Space Train dreams because I like Isaac and I don't want him to be lonely.
Rose-auncle was doing an explore by herself in the Dreamlands when she missed the Bear-grams leaving, but now she's back and talking lots with the other grownups about new ways of making MAPS for the Dreamlands. All the Exploration Club people listen, but it's really complicated and I think Dmitri doesn't like it because it's too much like POETRY and not like putting things in order. I like it but I don't understand it. I think I need to have MORE STUFF in my brain before those maps work.
Sometimes Rose-auncle plays with kittens and that's nice. She isn't too rough like SOME outdoors cats. She helps us tickle Number-dad and sing the Too Many Snogs song to Zora and I sat with her in the treehouse and we invented a bunch of cards for a DREAMLANDS EXPANSION for Gliese. She's a really good auncle cat.
In farming class, we learned about all the ways you can measure the SOIL to make sure it's good for the plants. Different plants want different soil so it's really COMPLICATED. I talked to Number-dad about it a lot because he does soil-measuring for his flowers. It made me really happy to do that stuff with him.
Nessie was really MIGHTY at soccer for Purpleberry Ice Cream and got voted Most Valuable Player. Her head got really big and we had to tease her a lot, but her kids are good at that.
Max and Nameko went to another park in Dragon-mayor City, and some kittens tried to chase them away, so they had to fight together and forgot about being mad at each other. I don't like that so many cats who aren't people are TERRITORIAL and fighty, but it was OK this time. Nobody got hurt too much and Max and Nameko and all the kittens in that park are friends now.
Toka has kitten friends too, but they got them by getting in a lot of TROUBLE. I had a sleepover at Hebichi's and we helped his Pop make stuffed rainbow spinch rolls and Toka said "I get the biggest" and tried to eat MY TAIL and we watched MEGALOMACHY and it was really nice. But in the middle of the night, I heard a tiny mew and woke up and Toka was trying to keep housekittens from running all over and peeing on the floor. There were 3 of them and they said they came from the KITTEN CAFÉ, but I know the kitten café doesn't let people adopt kittens without making sure they're READY, so they STOLE them. Then everybody was awake and Toka was in TROUBLE because they didn't ask their dads if they could get kittens and the people at the café would be really WORRIED and nobody knew Toka could do MAGIC DREAMING. Number-dad had to come over and help Toka and his Dad take the kittens back, and Toka was really upset because they love the kittens and the kittens love them. Hebichi and I stayed up with their Pop and drank warm juice and talked about how housekittens are really nice but need lots of taking care of.
Toka's Dad and Pop played rock-paper-scissors to see who got to snuggle up to sleep with Number-dad and Toka to go to the Dreamlands, because Number-dad is REALLY PRETTY.
When Number-dad and everybody woke up, the kittens were still in the Awake World but Toka was in MORE trouble. When their Dad tried to get them to say sorry to the kitten café people, they said, "These kittens LOVE me so they hafta come live at my HOUSE. Bye." and tried to run away with the kittens again. That wasn't a very good decision, Toka! Their Dad had to talk to the people and Number-dad had to talk to the kittens to make sure they love Toka and then Toka's Dad had to learn how to take care of housekittens and what kind of food and litter boxes and drinking bowls they need. It took almost until morning, so I took a nap on Hebichi's tummy.
2 of the kittens are Theo and Cleo, who are TUXEDO SIBLINGS, and 1 is fluffy and grey and her name is MADEMOISELLE FLOOFYPAWS but Toka said it "Mada-moissel Floofapaw" at first. They're all really nice and good with standing-up people because they met lots of them at the kitten café and they really do love Toka so I think they will be OK. Toka is still in a lot of trouble, though, because KITTENNAPPING isn't OK!
When Max went over to say nihao to the housekittens, she liked them so much that she tried to hide Mlle. Floofypaws under her HAT went she went home, and Toka caught her and scolded her a lot because she's almost 7 now and shouldn't do piracies on younger kids and their house is a NO KITTENNAPPING ZONE and the kittens are INDOORS ONLY so they can't go out without a carrier and Max got really sorry. I think it made Toka feel better to support a BOUNDARY so it didn't feel unfair, but it was really funny too.
It was a terrible week for sports. Everybody I know lost all their games. Everybody was really BUMMED OUT. I think it was because this week was TOO HOT. We had to put special shades over the garden so the plants could get enough light without getting WITHERED. It was too hot in the Dreamlands too. We had to put SUNSCREEN on the piggies in my zoo, and Shoe-auncle had to remind the dragons to drink lots of water and not so much SODA. Maybe it wasn't a good week for anything except kitten friends.
I remembered what it was a good week for. I went exploring in the valley of the HUGE INVISIBLE animals with the Exploration Club, and we all sang the Let's Be Friends Song, and I think one of the invisible animals FOLLOWED us! Maybe they'll be friends with me someday!
Max is 7! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAX! We set up the grill in our yard and had BBQ salmon and hamburgers and blue-polka-dot ice cream cake with blue icing stars and butterflies on it and Nico played lots of songs Max likes so she did GOBLIN DANCING with all her friends and siblings and cousins and parents, and the little kids ran around really WILD and tickled me a lot. We all put more MAGIC SINGING into her necklace, and people gave her pretty blue presents and said she's really BEAUTIFUL and GROWNUP. She's a weird kitten, but we all love her BUNCHES AND BUNCHES.
Now Max and Annabelle and all their friends who are 6 or 8 or 7 are having a sleepover in the treehouse, and Max's siblings are sleeping on the porch because it's really HOT. I think Number-dad is going to take Max to get her GROWNUP TAIL and then they're going to have a dream adventure.
I was RIGHT about Max getting her grownup tail, and she looks really cool now. Everybody in Dragon-mayor's city said happy birthday to her and she held her tail WAY UP with shiny blue ribbons on it. Then she went with all her friends to the Space Train to play no-gravity games and it wasn't scary at all but they had a lot of fun and played with Isaac Mewton and it made him really happy. He said Max's tail is REALLY GREAT and she got big and pink inside.
In the morning, all the people who weren't at her sleepover dream said her tail was really great and she got BIGGER and PINKER inside and it was really cute so we all had to give her a masquillion hugs. Max is SPLENDID now!
It's World Tiger Day! I think I tried to look that up last year but I FORGOT. When I told everybody, they said we should call Tansy and have her tell the tigeries we said "happy tiger day" so we did! Then after classes our big family and some friends went to the ZOO and said nihao to the tigers. Udo-auncle was there, but he wouldn't let us go in to the tiger habitat, because the tigers might want to fight and that wouldn't be good. They shouldn't learn it's OK to fight with people! They were friendly when we weren't in their territory, though. Max showed off her new tail, but the tigers still think she's WEIRD because she's a goblin cat. That's OK, because Max is pretty weird.
We said nihao to other animals too. Cats said nihao to all different zoo cats, pocket foxies said nihao to foxes and wolves, and Lilja said nihao to all kinds of UNGULATES. That's animals with hooves, like sheeps and zebras and everybody. All the animals are doing REALLY GOOD, because the zoo people are good at taking care of them. That's why we don't have to visit all the time like Number-dad did when he was a kitten. I like our zoo in the Awake World, but I like my zoo the best.
This week was a good week for sports, but a bad week for ANNABELLE. On Tuesday, she was leaning way down from the top shelf in the living room to whap Rafe's HAIR but she leaned TOO FAR and slid all the way off. She flipped around to put her paws down, but the bottom shelf sticks out more and it clobbered her right under the chin so she bit her tongue and yelled blood everywhere and her brain got RATTLED and she was dizzy. It was really bad! Clover checked and her brain seemed OK but Fairy-mom was worried so she had to go to the CLINIC and get her brain checked by a special machine. She was really OK but we purred her head and her chin a lot anyway. Then on Thursday at fighting class, Annabelle was SPARRING with Quein and got clobbered in the face so she bit her tongue on the OTHER side and yelled blood everywhere again and Quein was really upset and sorry and Annabelle felt like life was PICKING ON her and sulked a lot. We all gave her a lot of washing and cuddling, but she stayed in her closet all day except when she had to go to school. She got to eat ice cream to make her mouth feel better, but you can't put a bandage on your TONGUE so eating hurt. Then on Friday, when Runner-auncle and Ani-auncle were supposed to call, Ani-auncle was TOO BUSY to talk. When Runner said that, Annabelle said, "I have VAPORS! I'm DECLINING!" Having the vapors is when you're so upset you get sick, and going into a decline is when everything is really awful and all you can do is hide somewhere and feel worse and worse until you DIE. They're really old-fashioned words that she got from VV-gram. I don't think people really got sick or died like that even in the old days, it was just what they said so people knew how upset they were. Annabelle didn't really die EITHER, but she went back in her closet and sulked all night and went to my zoo to sit with capybaras and sulk and woke up and sulked some more. It's really hard being Annabelle this week!
I did really good in volleyball and didn't even get hit in the nose. Hebichi and Bina and everybody were good too, but I jumped REALLY HIGH to spike the ball back down and everybody cheered and I felt really PROUD. Good job, Samuel!
The standing-up grownups did really good at soccer and Big Sam stopped a whole bunch of points and Fairy-mom and Dragon-mom scored a lot of points, even though VV-gram felt too ROUND to wave pompoms for them. Hurray for Purpleberry Ice Cream!
We went swimming a lot this week because VV-gram likes it. It's only July. I don't know how round she's going to be in August or September. I hope she doesn't get so big she POPS!
It was a good summery week. Everybody is doing really good except for Annabelle and her tongue.
