Tiny Squeak is still doing GREAT. She had a gurgly tummy 1 day, but then she felt better and wanted LOTS of milk. She's practicing sitting up, and she's getting better at ROLLING. Humboldt had a rolling dream with her, and they rolled so much he woke up DIZZY. I was worried about him, but he was fine after he ate some BACON. I think bacon makes EVERYTHING better. It's going to be a long time before Tiny Squeak can eat it, though!
Our snow is ALMOST gone, so Hebichi and Spin and Sahara and Simoun and Jeanne and Blond Dmitry and a bunch of other kids did some BICYCLE RACES. Nobody I know got in the top 3, but nobody got hurt or embarrassed, even when Sahara went over a jump at TOP SPEED. I still just cheered, but it looked like fun. Maybe I'll try it next week if I'm REALLY brave.
I do magic dreaming most nights, but lots of times it's just going around my zoo and making sure everybody is OK or sitting in the park watching people play soccer. This week I did lots of INTERESTING magic dreaming.
We changed how we do magic dreaming CLASS with the good ideas people gave us on the SURVEY, and it went KIND OF good. I REHEARSED all the guided thought parts, and I said them all JUST RIGHT. When somebody was being FIDGETY, 1 of my siblings would go SNUGGLE them because that helps people sleep. It's a special CAT technique. I think some people fidgeted ON PURPOSE so they could get snuggles, but it still helped them sleep.
The part that wasn't good was when we tried to get everybody to the Dreamlands and they ran all over and some of them GOT AWAY. Most of them got stuck listening to the bugs fiddle on each other, but we couldn't find 1 at all, so Fairy-mom had to TRACK HER DOWN while we took everybody else to the zoo to see DINOS. They didn't come back until we finished seeing the zoo and took everybody to get warm juice in the city, because that girl ended up in the MONSTER SANCTUARY. The monsters looked at her really FEROCIOUS because they thought she was there to steal their TREASURE, and she had to be really SORRY so they only threw her out. That's when Fairy-mom got there, and she told the monsters it was an accident and nobody needed to get EATEN. Amara said it was really scary and Fairy-mom is HER HERO. I think she has a CRUSH on Fairy-mom now, because Fairy-mom is REALLY COOL and teenagers are really SILLY. I read that people get more crushes in SPRING, so maybe our cold weather is OVER.
Dragon-mom says maybe next time we teach the class, we should put leashes on everybody like DOGGIES. I think it's rude to do that to PEOPLE, but it's really BAD when people run off and get lost in the Dreamlands, so maybe we have to!
Another time, I dreamed I was in the BLANKET CAVES, but I was a standing-up person, so I looked for the way to get to Koo's park and not Sky Kitten's valley. Then I found Max and Annabelle, and they were standing up TOO. They thought it was really COOL. They were both really CUTE, even though Max didn't have any hair. She said it's because she's a GOBLET, and she said when she was standing up, she was our SIBLING not our sister. Max is learning more about WHO THEY ARE.
When we wiggled out from under the old tarps that hide the Blanket Caves, Koo was already there and she had a friend and kitties in her lap too! Her friend is named Hideyoki and I think he's 8, so he's almost the same age as Annabelle and Max. He didn't think so at first, but Koo explained how people in my family grow up SLOW and then they were friends. We sat under a tree together and petted Truffle, Pierce, and Nameko and let them sit on us because they were all NORMAL size. Koo was sad they don't talk, but they do purr and chase leaves and try to eat Annabelle's braid. They wanted to eat the MICRORAPTORS too, but they couldn't. It was a really nice visit.
When we woke up and Max was a CAT again, she said she's our sister FOR NOW. It's OK if she doesn't want to be a girl or boy. Maybe she'll just be a goblin. She doesn't have to be anything if she doesn't WANT to.
We talked about that when we had a KITTEN MEETING. We made some rules for being 7, but Humboldt is ALMOST 14, and that's a 2ND 7. We already decided it's OK to cuss with words when you're 14, but maybe you shouldn't do it in front of grownups until you have a 3RD 7, that's 21. Dmitri said maybe you have to know if you're a girl or a boy to be 14, but we decided that's NO GOOD. People can change through their WHOLE LIVES. I said you can't go on dates or do snogs until you're 28, but nobody liked that rule. Even Sahara and Simoun made faces. Humboldt has already been on a date and he's not 14 yet, and Dmitri KIND OF has a sweetheart and he's only 12. Maybe Pixie was right and everybody has to make their OWN decision. I think that's part of growing up, so maybe it's OK to have fewer rules for each 7. The only other rule we could agree on is that when you have 2 7s, you can learn to ride a MOTORCYCLE. That's how old Nessie-auncle was when she got her 1st motorcycle, and we all want to be that cool! I hope our parents are OK with it.
We thought about other rules, but couldn't AGREE.
We better make up our minds SOON because Humboldt's 2nd 7 is coming right up!
LN's parents say she can't go on dates with ONLY the person she likes because there might be SNOGGING, so she got a whole BUNCH of people from her school to go with her and Jean to see her favorite band, and Jean brought Blond Dmitry and Spin and my Dmitri and they brought me and Hebichi and I brought the twins and they brought Ouma and Frillist and then there were a MASQUILLION kids at the concert. I was worried the teenagers and grownups might be mad, but they thought we were CUTE. BIRD OF ILL OMEN plays really SPOOKY music, and they DRESS really spooky and it's COOL. Their music makes me think of Halloween and the Vampire Witch from MEGALOMACHY and learning about Dancing Spider Glyphs in the stone circle when the moon is full, and it makes me want to dance really SLOW and SNEAKY instead of all wild. Lots of the kids who wear clothes dressed up spooky too, with stripy tights and witch hats and capes. It was really fun! I danced with lots of people, and CAT dancing was just right for the music so everybody said we were great. That was embarrassing, but Dmitri liked it a lot. He danced with Jean and LN and everybody and got lots of kisses because he's PRETTY. Jean and LN did some kisses too, but I don't think they did snogs.
After the concert, we got to go to the all-night bakery but lots of kids' parents were there. Even Hebichi's Daddy and Poppy were there, and Fairy-mom and Shoe-auncle came to get donuts and saw our big party so they came to eat our ears. They told LN's parents that Jean is a good kid, which made Jean and LN REALLY embarrassed, but maybe it means they can keep going on dates. Dmitri LAUGHED at the faces they made, so I think he's not upset. I'm glad nobody has to be unhappy!
Not as much interesting stuff happened in the Awake World, but I did get Hebichi to model for art class. Everybody said their scales were BEAUTIFUL and liked drawing them, even when they did FUNNY poses. I'm glad people know Hebichi is beautiful.
I fell off my skateboard a lot doing KICK FLIPS, but I had a helmet and I didn't use my FACE for landing, so it was OK. I'm getting better!
Clover-auncle and Rose-auncle FLEW AWAY today. They're in OSAKA, which is a city in JAPAN. Rose-auncle is at a conference with other HISTORIANS, because she wants to hear what they know about history and use it to get smarter about the Dreamlands. Clover-auncle isn't going to the conference because she doesn't have a DOCTORATE, but she's going to EXPLORE until the conference is over, and then they're going to explore TOGETHER and see all kinds of cools places and eat yummy sushi and other Japanese food and maybe listen to Japanese MUSIC. They'll come back next Friday. It sounds REALLY FUN and I want to go, but I have to go to school instead and it's not FAIR. I think we would all learn lots more from TRAVELING than from going to school for 1 week!
Tiny Squeak is learning to drink from a BOTTLE. That means VV-gram can go OUT and leave her safe at home without worrying that she'll get too hungry, but Mlle. Squeaks isn't sure she LIKES drinking from the bottle, even when the milk is really warm. It's not the same as a mum-tummy made out of LOVE. Max and Rei and I cuddled her and tried to get her to drink from the bottle when VV-gram was out for a walk, and she drank a LITTLE BIT before she started crying for her mum. She wasn't crying because she was hungry, though.
SITTING UP is still a WORK IN PROGRESS, but she can do it most of the time now, and only falls over sometimes. She's learning to SCOOT with her feet and slide around on her tummy when she's on a smooth floor. It's really funny and ADORABLE. Keep working on it, Tiny Squeak! Someday you'll be running around with all the other kittens!
Clover-auncle and Rose-auncle are having LOTS of fun in Osaka. They sent us pictures of fancy temples and streets with old-fashioned stores and trying on Japanese clothes and AMAZING sushi. We're all really GREEN INSIDE. I'm glad they're having a good vacation, though.
The Bear-grams are almost somewhere too. They're going to be on MARS later this month! It won't be a vacation, but I hope they really LIKE it.
Last week we had a D'YUGGOTH KITTEN meeting to talk about being 14 but there were lots of things we couldn't decide. I was sitting with my older siblings and Blond Dmitry and Hebichi and Ouma in the dim sum restraurant behind City Tall when we found out Dmitri had been THINKING about some of them. "Now it's a rule, you have to be able to stand up to turn 14," he said, and he STOOD UP. Everybody in the restaurant SQUACKED, because he didn't have any clothes, and a little kid yelled, "Daddy, I can see that girl's PENIS". It was really funny, but Dmitri got embarrassed and hid under the table until Blond Dmitry gave him spare shorts. Then that kid came over with their dad, because they knew if you say something rude, you have to be SORRY. They told Dmitri they were sorry for saying he was a girl because in their family only girls have long hair, and that his penis looked really NICE. He got embarrassed and everybody laughed again, but he hugged that kid.
Dmitri looks a little bit like NICO when he's standing up, because he's all brown and his hair is long and soft, but he isn't very big and he looks like he's only 9 and his hair is brown too. He's really pretty!
We got really worried that Dmitri was going to have to stand up FOREVER because turning back would be too itchy, but he said that's TOMORRROW'S problem, and today's problem was getting COOL CLOTHES. We all had to go to the MALL and help him SHOP. It was weird because in the Awake World, we just look for designs and get them out of the clothes machine. It's really different when you can only get the clothes that are right there! I think Dmitri did a really good job, though. He got a jacket and shorts that are black SUEDE leather and poofy with laces so they look old-fashioned, and some black suede boots with HEELS and a BIG black beret that isn't suede but looks a little like it and orange tights with WOBBLY green stripes. Everybody said he looks like a real BIRDER, that's a fan of Bird of Ill Omen, but his orange shirt is from Inverted Obverse. Maybe he looks like a Birder anyway.
When we woke up, he still had his cool clothes and wore them to school, and everybody thought that was really GREAT. Then right after school, Jeanne came running to see because she heard Dmitri was DIFFERENT today and she FELL RIGHT OVER when she saw how pretty he is. It was really funny and nice.
They both had to go to classes in the afternoon, but after that they came back and sat on our porch swing and Jean brushed Dmitri's pretty hair really NICE, and they were really CUTE. Then Dmitri had too many PURRS and his ears got pointy and his TAIL came out and got all scrunched up in his tights. He had to get Simoun to fix his clothes so his tail could come out and it didn't look like he POOPED HIS PANTS. His ears and his tail are furry but the rest of him isn't, so he's more like Flower-gram than Nessie-auncle. He's still REALLY PRETTY. Jean stayed for dinner and they sat next each other and HELD HANDS and gave each other tibs and doro wot wrapped up in injera to eat. Jean had to go home after that, but I think it was a really ROMANTIC day for them. Dmitri was really HAPPY. I think Jean is REALLY his sweetheart now.
I wonder if I'll have any sweethearts. Maybe it would be nice to be romantic and hold hands and stuff. I already have lots of friends to cuddle and do NICE kisses with, though. Maybe I don't need any sweethearts. Toka doesn't count because they're a little kid.
I tried the BICYCLE RACES this week. It was really scary, because if you slow down to be CAREFUL, you LOSE, so you have to go AS FAST AS YOU CAN. That's not how I like doing things, so I did really BAD. I slowed down for corners and jumps so I wouldn't crash, and I came in LAST. I felt really BAD about it. I can't say it's because I'm not an ultramodern person, because Sahara was #2 and Simoun was #6. It's because I'm not brave and good at sports. Everybody said really nice stuff to me, but I didn't think they were right. I rode home and hid under a blanket under the bottom shelf and cried. Dragon-mom found me and crawled under to hug me and listen to why I was sad because she's a REALLY GOOD mom. She said I felt like I wasn't brave because I was trying to be brave like Sahara, but I'm not Sahara. I'm Samuel and I'm brave by PRACTICING, like when the wild ocean water made me SINK so I didn't swim in the ocean until I practiced in TAME water. Dragon-mom was RIGHT. I need to practice riding fast until it isn't scary any more.
All my friends and siblings from the races came to find me and they all squished under the shelf to hug me. They said it's OK if I don't want to race because it's nice if I cheer for them or help make the course or hug them when they win or anything where I'm with them. They said it's even OK if I stay at home READING when they do races and go to have ice cream with them after. That made me feel better, but I said I want to get BRAVE so that I CAN race. They all said they'd help me because they're REALLY GOOD friends. They said I'm already brave when I HAVE TO be, like when I fought the elves who tried to steal kids, and when I ran to get help against the fairies who tried to steal Spin and Hebichi and me. That made me feel better because I'm not letting anybody DOWN. I'm going to practice riding my bike really BRAVE.
Another person is learning to go fast, but it's because they're SILLY. Amara, the teenager Fairy-mom rescued from the Monster Sanctuary, is going to TRUCK-DRIVING lessons in the Dreamlands, because Fairy-mom is a truck teacher and Amara wants to stay near her. She has a CRUSH on Fairy-mom, because Fairy-mom is HER HERO. I think it's ridiculous, but SOME people think it's cute. Grownups and teenagers are really WEIRD.
That was a lot of writing. I'm going to stop now, because my paw is sore and needs COOKIES. Then I'm going to snuggle up with Dmitri and SLEEP. I think everything else that happened this week was pretty regular anyway.
Tiny Squeak is still doing REALLY GOOD. She scoots around on her front with her legs going push-push-push and then sits up and SQUEAKS and falls over and ROLLS. She doesn't get very far, but she's ADORABLE. Go go Mlle. Squeaks!
Teaching her to drink from a bottle is working too. VV-gram goes out to PROWL around our neighborhood every morning and afternoon, like she did before she had a KITTEN, and Flower-gram and Lilja-auncle feed Tiny Squeak while she's gone and everybody is HAPPY. Someday Tiny Squeak will be able to go prowling with her mum and then they'll be EVEN HAPPIER.
Rose-auncle and Clover-auncle came home on Friday. They said they had a lot of fun in Osaka, but they were glad to be back HOME. They've lived her for a long time, but it still makes me happy when they say it's home. They brought us a bunch of MOCHI and MANJU that Osaka makes best and they were REALLY yummy! Rose-auncle and Clover-auncle brought Dmitri some BAND shirts from when they went dancing. That was really THOUGHTFUL of them.
Dmitri is still standing up, so he has lots of cool clothes. I always thought Max would be the most FASHIONABLE of us, because she already wears clothes all the time, or maybe Humboldt because he likes dressing up fancy for parties, but Dmitri has them both BEAT. I don't know if he's scared about putting his fur back on, but he REALLY likes clothes. He's only been standing up for about 1 week, but he's gone shopping for clothes 6 times in the Dreamlands and 3 times in the Awake World. I didn't even know we still have stores for old clothes! People who like clothes think they're good for IDEAS, though, so they're still here. I think it's nice that not everything is clothes machines. Maybe liking OLD-FASHIONED stuff makes it easier to go to the Dreamlands.
Jeanne and Dmitri hold hands a lot. That's really nice too, but it's weird that my brother has a REAL sweetheart.
Race-teacher, that's the OLDEST checkerboard cat, and Elephant Cat are thinking about going back to the continent they came from, because it's been a REALLY long time since they saw their friends there. More of the checkerboard cats want to go, but those 2 are the ones I know best. I'll really miss them, but they've been far away for years and YEARS, so I don't think it's bad that they want to go back. I gave them a lot of hugs and told them there are more hugs if they come BACK.
The firebird that I brought to my zoo on my first dream adventure with Spin and Blond Dmitry woke up. They weren't REALLY asleep all winter like bears do, because sometimes they sang SLEEPY songs and got up to get snacks, but they hid in their NEST all day and all night. Then today Cattail and I were going around to check the animals, and the firebird jumped out of their nest and hopped all around their habitat, singing a really SUSPICIOUS song. Maybe they think spring is SKETCHY. When they finished checking, they grabbed a bunch of big BUGS and hopped back in their nest to hide and peek out, but I think they're going to be out more. Cattail thought they were really pretty and liked their songs, which makes me happy. I hope they'll be friends.
When I told Spin and Blond Dmitry, they were really happy too. They said sometime we should go back to the tree as tall as the sky and see if anybody else is there to make friends with. I think that would be really fun!
I practiced riding my bike around as fast as I COULD. I even rode on some race courses when nobody was using them except to practice. Some other kids were there practicing, and they rode lots faster than me, but they cheered for me to ride faster and be brave. That made me TOO brave, so I went over a jump too fast and WIPED OUT, but I had my helmet and all my PADS on so I didn't get too hurt. You can do it, Samuel!
It's been a good week. It's still cold and windy, but it's SUNNY out so everybody is getting more CHEERFUL for spring. Pretty soon all my big siblings and my little sister and my cousins and auncle and gram and LOTS of people are going to have birthdays. It'll be SHEEP-SHEARING time too. I think it's going to be a good month!

The EXACT equinox was early in the morning, so the grownups and teenagers who do the magic to protect our town were up ALL NIGHT. Everybody was grateful for their HARD WORK, so we took good care of them with hugs and ICE CREAM. Lots of people got cake, too, because it's a good day for having a birthday.
Sahara and Simoun didn't get to do any magic, but they got to WATCH so they can learn how. I think I should get to watch too because I'm in the same Magic Singing class as them, but my parents said MAYBE ANOTHER TIME. I hope I don't have to wait until I'm turning 12 before I can start learning to help.
So many people were busy that there wasn't a big birthday dream for my family, but Max and I took Annabelle and her friend Finn and my friend Bina to my zoo so they could boop capybaras and everybody said happy birthday to them and the food court gave them free fries and MILKSHAKES. We saw Elevator Alligator and Cold-Mouth Dragon there, and they said SCALY birthday and laughed and laughed. They're a little bit WEIRD.
Dmitri got his FUR back at the equinox. He didn't say if it was because it was a special day or because he had to for magic singing, but it made me feel better to see him being a big FLUFFY brother again and not dead from ITCHING. He put his fancy clothes in his closet in case he stands up again, because he had a lot of fun being FASHIONABLE.
Max and I worked with our parents to make presents for the birthday kittens in our family. This year our theme was WATER, so we gave the exploration kittens canteens that refill from the AIR, and everybody else jewelry that looked like WAVES or was made of coral. We sang the Make Room For Magic Song to the coral so they can put magic in their jewelry. I hope it works!
There are lots more people who have birthdays today, and I couldn't get big FANCY presents for all of them, but I got some big sheets of shiny paper to keep in my bag, and little LATCHES, so I can make ORIGAMI FISH BOXES for people. It was really funny when I met Florence and Dromo from my origami class and made boxes for them, and they made origami DINOS for me with THEIR paper. I got a STEGO and a DILOPHOSAURUS, that's a kind of big raptory dino with 2 FRILLS on its head. Happy birthday, Dromo and Florence!
I gave Toka a necklace like shiny silver fish, and some catnip fish for their kittens to play with. They gave me a masquillion kisses and said I'm a good SWEETHEART, and that was embarrassing, but it was OK. It's their BIRTHDAY and they're only 6 now.
There was a big party in the park and then in the neighborhood center when it got too WINDY. We flew KITES and played VOLLEYBALL and grownups and teenagers did a lot of FLIRTS and we had some BBQ and veggie food from Lilja-auncle's restaurant and ice cream and cake and warm juice. I helped get food for everybody so the birthday people could RECLINE. When people weren't eating, there was lots of dancing to say NIHAO to SPRING and that was really fun. I danced with all my family and all my friends and all kinds of people I didn't know before. It was a really good day!
Now Rei is 15 and Humboldt is 14 and Dmitri is a TEENAGER and the twins are 12 and Annabelle is 8. Good work growing up, guys! But the most grownup is Zora, because she's 18 now. That means she can go to SOLDIER TRAINING this summer. She's really excited, because even though it takes a whole YEAR and is kind of dangerous, after she finishes, she can be a MONSTER HUNTER. We're all going to miss her a LOT, but I know it's what she wants to do. Do your best, Zora!
I forgot somebody! Today, Mlle. Squeaks is 0 1/2! We don't usually do HALF-birthdays in our family, but she doesn't have any WHOLE years, so we sang her a birthday song and everybody kissed her cute little face, and she squeaked up a STORM. Happy 6 months, Tiny Squeak!
Tiny Squeak learned some important SKILLS now that she's 0 1/2! She can push both her legs at the SAME TIME so instead of scooting, her bum goes WAY UP. When she learns to do that at the same time as sitting up, she'll be STANDING. Until then, she does pretty good with rolling and scooting, and now she can roll over to something she wants to put in her mouth and grab it and BITE it. Because she's a baby, she's best at getting things that DON'T go in mouths, like books and spicy onion and MY TAIL. Don't eat your family, Tiny Squeak! Practice walking instead!
It's a good week for things in SPACE. In the Awake World, our Bear-grams got to Mars and now they're in NOCTIS CITY. That's a city built in some canyons called Noctis Labyrinthus, that means LABYRINTH OF NIGHT. That's a spooky name, but it's a nice city. It's made by building roofs over the canyons to make big habitats full of good air. The walls are covered in PLANTS because they like growing food and air with real plants, so it looks really FORESTY and nice. The Bear-grams' new house is little, but it looks really nice too. Everybody on Mars has to do lots of things, but mostly they're going to be TEACHERS. I think that's really great, because teachers are really IMPORTANT. Zeb-auncle and Momo-auncle and Bob-auncle and all the other teacher foxies are really proud of their friends. Simoun and Sahara are still really GREEN inside, but they say that someday they're going to visit the Bear-grams on Mars and NOBODY can stop them. You can do it!
In the Dreamlands, the Space Train got to an ASTEROID. In the Awake World, asteroids get a NUMBER that's the order they got discovered to go with their name, like 1 Ceres and 87 Sylvia and like that. In the Dreamlands, it's the same except with DIFFERENT numbers. This asteroid is called ELEVENTY-TWELVE Barbados. The aliens there are like slugs except their bellies are STICKY so they can hold on without gravity, and their backs have CHITIN like bugs. They have chitin on their arms too, to help them be strong. They look cool, but they're really SURLY, that means grouchy and bitey like Sahara. They don't have teeth for biting, but they have RADULAS, which are long tongues with sharp bumps for SAWING UP their food. I was afraid we might have to fight them because they got mad at Isaac Mewton for asking if they were gastropods or arthropods, but they didn't bite him because he's too CUTE. Good job, Isaac!
The aliens are SPACE PIRATES because their asteroid is mostly IRON and doesn't have enough hydrogen and oxygen and carbon. I was afraid they might try to pirate the Space Train, but they didn't. I think they're afraid of the Train Captain and all their HEADS. They paid for what they wanted with IRIDIUM and OSMIUM.
I don't know if that was a good place for Isaac's first time going off the train, but Spin and Maz and Hebichi and Jackie and Max and I were all there with him, and the asteroid had HARDLY ANY gravity but lots of fancy shopping markets and bright signs and yummy food. There was a lot of water for the sluggos to swim in and stretch out their GILLS, but we had to stay away from it because it's easy to get it stuck on your face and DROWN. That was OK, we're all really CAREFUL. We helped Isaac buy a bunch of crystals for rainbow experimentss and dense osmium things for MASS experiments and cool things to put in his room. He has lots of money because the Space Train pays him for figuring out ORBITS.
I wasn't at Barbados every time I went to sleep, because I have to take care of my zoo, so I missed it when Isaac figured out some of their money was FAKE. Simoun and Sahara and VV-gram and Mlle. Squeaks were there to help him, though. At first the sluggos were mad at ISAAC because they thought he was trying to cheat them with bad coins, but then they paid ATTENTION to what he was showing them with his WHIRLING SCALE and figured out it was CROOKS making fake coins with not enough osmium and iridium and stuff. Nobody told me what the sluggos did to the crooks when they found them, so I think it might have been REALLY BAD. Maybe they ate them. I know sometimes Vinnie-auncle eats people who do really bad things. The sluggos think Isaac is REALLY GREAT, though, and gave him a MEDAL. I don't know what I think about that. The counterfeiters weren't HURTING anybody, so killing them and saying Isaac is a HERO makes me feel bad. I talked to Isaac about it, and he likes being a hero, but he doesn't think people should get killed about money either. The sluggos don't have to do what we say, though. They're ALIENS.
Pretty soon the Space Train is going to leave Barbados for MARS. Simoun and Sahara are really EXCITED for that, even though it won't get there until JULY. We're going to see if we can get from Dreamland Mars to Awake Mars, but even if we can't, we'll visit the Bear-grams in their DREAMS.
HURRAY FOR MARS!
Hebichi and Spin and Blond Dmitry went with Cattail and me to see the firebird. It was INVESTIGATING its habitat again, because it still thinks spring is sketchy, but it was glad to see them and sang the Let's All Be Friends Song. Toka and their kittens were there too, so they get to be FIREBIRD FRIENDS too. Toka did the Firebirds Are Really Pretty Dance, so they got an extra song. It was really nice. Then the firebird opened the door in its habitat and came out to BOOP Toka. Toka was really surprised because they thought the firebird was locked in! The cage around their habitat is just to keep other birds and dinos away, though. They can go in and out whenever they want, and let other birds in if they want friends to visit, because they're smart enough to work the latch. Even if they don't talk, I think they're a person, so it wouldn't be right to lock them up.
Jean wasn't there because he was SHOPPING with LN and my Dmitri. I think Dmitri and Jean aren't as romantic since he put his FUR back on, but all 3 of them are friends together, so that's OK. I don't know if Dmitri thinks it's OK, but he doesn't seem sad, and he still gives Jean lots of CUDDLES.
Hebichi and I decided not to take any more skateboarding classes. We're OK at it so we'll practice on our OWN. We couldn't decide on anything we both liked that's at the right time, so we're going to do INDEPENDENT PRACTICE riding bikes. We're still doing choir and band together. I'm doing Magic Singing and now I'm doing farming instead of art because it's SPRING. Hebichi is doing farming with me, although maybe later they'll do METALWORKING. That sounds cool, but scary.
It was a good SPRING week. We had pretty clouds and some wind but no rain, and everybody is happy because there's more SUNSHINE. All the sheepies who work at my zoo have been talking about shearing and lambs. Teenagers have been talking about CRUSHES, but I don't have to listen. The zoo animals aren't TALKING, except the really smart ones, but they're more ACTIVE and sometimes they do special dances or sing special songs because they want to have babies too. I guess that's like teenagers, but not WEIRD.
