June 4, 2034

It's June now. This is a BUSY month because we have to visit the Sheep Place for 2 birthdays and there's Summer Solstice and Cat Day. That doesn't start for 2 weeks but we have to start getting ready now. Fairy-mom is made out of love and CHECKLISTS.

It was an OK week. Everybody was still sad about Aimée and Max had a dream where she was in Shriek City and nobody came to help her so she shrieked herself awake and woke up everybody and had go to sleep in the parent room because she cried so much. That was the worst thing that happened. Everything else was OK. Dmitri and I and Hebichi had a sleepover at Blond Dmitry's house with Spin and Jeanne and Sonny and it was nice. Max and Annabelle had a sleepover at Secret's with her house-cousins and they had lots of fun. Sahara and Simoun and Humboldt didn't have a sleepover at anybody's HOUSE, but they snuck out to sleep in the treehouse at the park and maybe they talked about important BIG KID stuff. But maybe they just slept way up high and felt cool.

I dreamed I took the Msuhroom Sisters to my zoo to say nihao to all the animals. They sniffed the sheepies and the goaters and the bunnies and that was OK, but then they went to see the piggies. Truffles are a SECRET mushroom that grows underground and people get pigs to sniff them out, so when the piggies heard a truffle was visiting, they all ran to sniff her and it was really scary! Nameko jumped right in the way and did a LOUD MIAU and the piggies stopped long enough for Max to say, "Guys! No! POLITE!" and then it was OK. Pierce said he thought Nameko would be a captain someday, and she walked really PROUD but then she stepped on her own paw and fell over and wiggled so much her tail bopped her in the NOSE and she had to try to catch it. I don't know if captains can be that silly.

Shoe-auncle decided on the old WAREHOUSE and started turning it into a dragon clinic. We're all helping because we want the dragons to get taken care of, but the grownups are helping the most. Max and Annabelle and I can only do things like run to the store to get stuff, but it's helping! Polkydot Dragon and Checkyboard Dragon and Bobtail Dragon and the rest are really excited about the clinic. They think it will make lots of dragons move to the city to be friends with everybody. That would be really NICE.

June 9, 2034

Nessie-auncle had to sit on our porch swing to read because her swing was full of TEENAGERS. Dmitri and Humboldt came to sit with us and take a nap and read, but then Humboldt went to go see the FLIRTS the teenagers were doing and Dmitri woke up and had to brush his fur all beautiful so he could go see a MOVIE with Jean. I was really sorry to Nessie that my brothers are TEENAGERS, but she laughed and laughed and said it's important for kids to be teenagers because it's practicing for being GROWNUPS. I said they aren't even real teenagers because they're SONGCATS, but she said maybe they're practicing to be teenagers. Then she laughed more because I made a terrible face.
